Strike!

Today was an interesting day. Turns out the tube workers are going on strike one day a month and this was it. So the whole tube system was shut down. Which meant extra road congestion. So it was 2 hours to get anywhere by bus or walk. I chose walking. I started off the day going to the library. If you could call it that! Tiny, barely any books. Much to say, I didn't stay long. I did end up purchasing my ticket to York though. I leave early Wednesday afternoon by bus. Best part of my day by far though? Passing a guy on his bike who was belting out Jailhouse Rock in a high falsetto. Oh yeah.

Hi Nicole ~ today must have been interesting with the tube not running. I remember being in London and taking the "tube" everywhere. I still remember the "mind the gap" recording everytime the train came to a station - too funny. What an adventure you are having - be safe and I'll be checking in periodically to see how you're doing! Your blog is great. Julie Ryen

Nicole, before you leave London (and if you haven't done so) you have to go check out the "crown jewels" they are awesome and of course you know how some of us love our jewels... They're at the Tower of London. Another cool thing to see there is the Medieval Palace. Julie Ryen
