Traveling

So I'm sitting on a plane heading down to Houston, Texas. I can't lie, I'm pretty stoked, even if my friends think I'm nuts for wanting to go to Texas. Jeanne's going to pick me up from the airport and well head straight out for Roswell, New Mexico. Cause really, why stop at adding just one more state to my list when I can add two! I'm really excited to see the UFO museum and the carlsbad caverns. I hear they're supposed to be really neat.
I'm also currently reading an interesting book my mom gave yesterday called "the gift of fear." It's all about learning to listen to and trust your intuition to save your life. We had just been talking about this at finders keepers the other day too, as Deena has the most uncanny feelings and instincts I have ever seen.
Like the time the lady made off with around three of our dresses and a purse. Hours later Deena was walking by a line of cars and stated she just felt warm and knew there was something up. When she looked inside one, there on the passenger seat were the stolen items. She tracked the girl down store to store and drug her back to her car and made the girl pay for them. But, how many people can claim having something like that happen to them. She gets feelings like that about people in general too, and shell just give you a look and you know no to let the person out of your sight in the store.
Mine have always been much more subdued, I'm definitely not the best judge of character, but even I can claim having moments that I look back and say I had a feeling I should or should not have done that. The book states that our biggest problem as humans is we discout this feeling and then proceed to search for logical reasons solely to not trust ourselves. Very interesting look toward humans, particularly Americans and western civilizations.
